Friendship

A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil; but it needs a little mulch of letters and phone calls and small, silly presents every so often - just to save it from drying out completely.

Eunice Kennedy Schriver Special Olympics

“Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation.” - Robert Francis Kennedy

When Bobby Kennedy said this quote his sister Eunice Kennedy Schriver lived it. The Special Olympics would not be here without her efforts.

How Green Are Jon and Kate Gosselin

How Green Are Jon and Kate Gosselin?
Kate and Jon Gosselin go to Hawaii.

Diapers, infidelity, screaming, tabloids, bikini, henpecked, multiples, backward mullet.

Any of these words might come to mind when the reality TV show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" is mentioned — but "green" is probably not among them.

Jon and Kate Gosselin, the heads of the crowded Pennsylvania household featured on the hugely popular TLC show, have recently made a push to have a more Earth-friendly lifestyle.

Some TV experts have applauded the efforts.

"This woman not only raises a family of eight kids — she also recycles, she buys organic food whenever possible, she buys local food whenever possible and she's overcome a lot of the obstacles a lot of people are still tripping on," gushed Sarah Snow, a green-living expert and TV host, during an appearance on the show.

A special hour-long episode of the show, entitled "Jon and Kate Plus 8 Go Green!", aired just before April 22, which was Earth Day.

Steve Thomas, the host of "Renovation Nation" on the Planet Green channel, came on to show the Gosselins how to make their home more energy-efficient as a skeptical Kate looked on.

Yet while there was much fanfare about the eco-move in the media, some environmental experts see big families and going green as mutually exclusive.

"A family with eight children could be green in the short term, if they lived at such a low standard of living that they didn't consume more than a family with two children, or if they existed in extreme poverty — which isn't an acceptable way of going green," says Rosamund McDougall, policy director of the U.K.-based Optimum Population Organization (www.optimumpopulation.org).

"In the long term, though, it is almost impossible for large families not to increase overall environmental impacts."

One of the reasons for the lack of green-ness is the emission of carbon dioxide.

If the eight children depicted in the show lived in Britain, they would each emit about 750 tons of carbon dioxide over a lifetime, McDougall explains. (American carbon-dioxide emissions per capita are about double that of Britain's.)

"What's more, if the eight children each had eight children, not taking into account the fact that eight husbands or wives would be absorbed from other families, there would be 64 grandchildren, each emitting 750 [metric tons] over a lifetime," says McDougall.

"Compare this with the total emissions of the two children who go on to have two children each, and you see only too clearly how the impact multiplies over time."

Tree's a Crowd

For some bloggers on environmental Web sites, the only green they see is caused by nausea over Jon and Kate's attempts.

Sure, the family might have installed solar panels and made a fuss over recycling, but with eight little carbon footprints running around on the Earth, America's most televised family is hardly non-consumptive, charge some greenies.

"No matter what this family does, it could NEVER go green," writes one blogger on Treehugger.com. "The most green families are those with one child or none. So this family has absorbed the CARBON FOOTPRINT OF 8 FAMILIES. This is very greedy!!!"

Critics aside, it could be said that the show itself is good for the environment. The 9.8 million viewers who caught the season opener were at least not cruising around in their cars, guzzling gas or stamping on the Earth during that hour of the week, right?

Viewers and Boo-ers

It's little surprise that the Gosselin family's tries at going green would be divisive, considering how divided the nation seems to be over the show itself.

With the rumors of infidelity, the high-profile travel, the book deals, the money machine, Kate's hairdo and all those kids, the public either loves it or hates it. Sometimes the division is even in the same family room.

"My mother watches the show aaaaaall the time. We, on the other hand don't," blogs Liam Jameson on the comment board for the "Goes Green" episode. "We feel like hitting Kate over the head with a freezer door. Mother is angry because we say this."

Now, would that be an energy-efficient appliance or not? Just asking.

Going Up! 7 Pointers to Lift a Bad Mood

By Dr. Maoshing Ni

Dr. Mao's Secrets of Longevity

A bad mood not only gives you a gloomy outlook, it also lowers your immune function, leading the way to illness. Here are some suggestions to lift your mood, your spirit, and your health.

1. A Laughing Matter
"Laugh Therapy," pioneered by Norman Cousins, has turned out to have real substance. Research has discovered that laughter and joy boost immune functions, especially the production of the natural killer cells that help defend the body from illness and cancer.

Laughter also increases the release of endorphins - compounds that give you a sense of well-being - in your brain. Without a doubt, joyful people liver longer and healthier lives. So read your favorite comics, watch your favorite comedies, and laugh it up!

2. Amino Acid for Restored Mindset
When an imbalance or deficiency is creating a bad mood, the Europeans use supplements of a natural compound found in human cells to regulate mood and restore a healthy mindset. SAMe (S-adenosyl-L-methionine) is produced from methionine, an amino acid that plays a role in the production of uplifting neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine.

One study indicated that SAMe worked on patients who had unsuccessful results with conventional antidepressants. To get a boost from SAMe, take a supplement combining it with vitamins B6 and B12.

3. Hands-On Healing
Human touch increases the production of endorphins, growth hormone, and DHEA, all of which lengthen your life span and lower the negative impact of stress. Studies have found that patients who are regularly touched recover faster than those who are not touched. So give someone a hug and feel both of your moods improve.

4. Boost Your "Youth Hormones"
You don't need pills to flood your body with a rejuvenating flood of growth hormones. Research has found that doing squats and leg presses will greatly increase your natural production of the "youth hormone". Increased growth hormone translates to an elevated mood, among other physical benefits. Keep it up with weight training, knee bends, push-ups, and rowing.

5. Take a Bracing Breath
Breathing correctly is important for dispelling the toxins and wastes from your body; in fact, it is estimated that we expel only about 30 percent of toxins in our bodies through the bowels and bladder-the rest is all respiratory. Breathing is also a great way to clear your mind, boost your energy, and improve your mood. Practice deep, slow, rhythmic, breathing daily with mind-body disciplines such as tai chi, yoga, qigong, and meditation.

6. Smell the Joy
Research has shown that smell has a definite impact on our bodies and minds. When you stimulate the olfactory nerves inside your nose, you activate the limbic system of your brain, which is associated with moods and memory. This concept is instrumental to aromatherapy, a natural health tradition that makes use of the healing powers of plants with strong scents.

Aromatherapy recommends treating depression with jasmine, eucalyptus for exhilaration, and grapefruit to increase alertness and joy. Just put a dab of the essential oils from these plants on your temples, back of your neck, or acupressure points. Another option? Boil the herb in water and inhale the steam through your nose.

7. Feel Fine with Flowers
There is a reason that flowers are the traditional get-well gesture. Colorful flowers have a powerful influence on moods; they can uplift a patient's mood and even combat stress. One study found that during a five-minute typing assignment, people sitting next to a flowering bouquet were more relaxed than those who sat near foliage-only plants.

I hope these tips help the good feelings flow! I invite you to visit often and share your own personal health and longevity tips with me.

May you live long, live strong, and live happy!

Dance Dance Dance

Dance your way to comfort

Your high-heeled summer sandals are calling out for a night of dancing, but your feet may be begging for a break. Before you call it a night, know that dancing can help tone and elongate muscles, instill confidence and reduce stress -- but your feet can take a beating.

Nobody knows this better than “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba. That’s why she’s revealing her tips and secret weapons for strutting your stuff on the dance floor.

“Dancing is great for your body but it can wreak havoc on your feet,” says Inaba, a dancer and choreographer. “To help prevent foot aches and pains, my secret is Dr. Scholl’s® For Her High Heel Insoles. The insoles’ ultra-soft arch shifts pressure off the balls of my feet, so even after dancing, standing, and running around in ultra-high heels, I haven’t missed a beat.”

To safely and easily incorporate dance into your routine, Inaba offers these additional tips:

1. Do your homework. Check out local dance studios, schools and community centers for discounted group classes and lessons. Even your gym may have dance-based exercise classes.

2. Suit up. Some dance styles might require a dress code, including high heels. Wear clothes and shoes that make you feel good because dancing is about expressing yourself. Try Inaba’s favorite Dr. Scholl’s® For Her High Heel Insoles, which provide comfort so you can wear high heels two inches and up -- all day or all night.

3. Stretch it out. Be sure you properly prepare your muscles by starting with a few minutes of warm ups and light stretches. Always know your stretch limits to avoid injury.

4. Get the green light.  If you aren’t typically active, double check with your doctor to make sure before starting any new exercise regimen -- even a lower-impact dance class.

Want more dance tips? Inaba stars in an online dance guide called the Dr. Scholl’s® For Her Dance Studio, available at www.ABC.com. Inaba and two professional dancers provide insider tips for dancers of all skill levels to comfortably maximize their dance and workout routines.

Just A Mom

A woman, renewing her driver's license ,
Was asked by the woman at Registry to state her occupation.

She hesitated, uncertain how to classify herself.

'What I mean is, ' explained the woman at Registry,
'do you have a job or are you just a ...?'

'Of course I have a job,' snapped the woman.

'I'm a MOm.'

'We don't list 'MOm' as an occupation,

'housewife' covers it,'
Said the recorder emphatically.

I forgot all about her story until one day I found myself

In the same situation.
The Clerk was obviously a career woman, poised,
Efficient, and possessed of a high sounding title like,
'Official Interrogator' or 'City Registrar.'

'What is your occupation?' she probed.

What made me say it? I do not know.
The words simply popped out.
'I'm a Research Associate in the field of
Child Development and Human Relations.'

The clerk paused, ball-point pen frozen in midair and
Looked up as though she had not heard right.

I repeated the title slowly emphasizing the most significant words.
Then I stared with wonder as my pronouncement was written,
In bold, black ink on the official questionnaire.

'Might I ask,' said the clerk with new interest,
'just what you do in your field?'

Coolly, without any trace of fluster in my voice,
I heard myself reply,
'I have a continuing program of research,
(what mother doesn't)
In the laboratory and in the field,
(normally I would have said indoors and out)
I'm working for my Masters, (first the Lord and then the whole family)
And already have four credits (all daughters).
Of course, the job is one of the most demanding in the humanities,
(any mother care to disagree?)
And I often work 14 hours a day, (24 is more like it).
But the job is more challenging than most run-of-the-mill careers

And the rewards are more of a satisfaction rather than just money.'

There was an increasing note of respect in the clerk's voice as she
Completed the form, stood up, and personally ushered me to the door.

As I drove into our driveway, buoyed up by my glamorous new career,
I was greeted by my lab assistants -- ages 13, 7, and 3.
Upstairs I could hear our new experimental model,
(a 6 month old baby) in the child development program,
Testing out a new vocal pattern.
I felt I had scored a beat on bureaucracy!
And I had gone on the official records as someone more

Distinguished and indispensable to mankind than 'just another MOm.'

Motherhood!

What a glorious career!
Especially when there's a title on the door.

Does this make grandmothers
'Senior Research associates in the field of Child Development and Human Relations'
And great grandmothers
'Executive Senior Research Associates?'
I think so!!!
I also think it makes Aunts '

Associate Research Assistants.'

Please send this to another Mom,
Grandmother,
Aunt,

And other friends you know.

May your troubles be less,

Your blessing be more,

And nothing but happiness come through your door!

Be kinder than necessary.. Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
You never know when a moment and a few sincere words can have an impact on a life

When, however, one reads of a witch being ducked, of a woman possessed by devils, of a wise woman selling herbs, or even a very remarkable man who had a mother, then I think we are on the track of a lost novelist, a suppressed poet. . . indeed, I would venture to guess that Anon, who wrote so many poems without signing them, was often a woman.

Driving Traffic with Twitter

Twitter is a social media networking referred to as micro-blogging. It ranks in the top three of all social networks, with Facebook and MySpace leading the way. However, Twitter is separate from both Facebook and MySpace since it is a micro-blogging platform. With Twitter, you can easily, simply, and conveniently drive traffic to your site by posting “tweets” or short messages throughout the day. You can also use Twitter with a mobile phone or a Black Berry, making it easy to promote your content and drive traffic to your site.

Whether you have a blog or website, everyone needs to attract visitors. Your company’s website or blog can gain a new following, all by signing up for a free Twitter account and using the service to add periodical updates. Whether you are selling new products, would like to advertise a special event or company outing, or simply want to improve customer relations and expand your customer base, you can do so easily and efficiently with Twitter.

The first step in driving traffic to your business with Twitter is to get a Twitter account. It’s free to sign up and you might be surprised to realize that some of your friends and contacts are already on Twitter. Once you are on, you can establish your account, upload a photo, and include a link to your blog or website. Twitter differs from social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook in the aspect that you won’t be able to upload your photos and store them on the site in personal photo albums, however, you can share your favorite pics and mobile uploads with your friends through your Twitter updates. Once you have established your account it’s time to get involved.

When on Twitter you can choose to follow various people. When you follow someone it is the equivalent of subscribing to his or her personal Twitter page. If someone posts an update, you’ll be able to read his or her post from you Twitter profile page. To follow someone simply look under his or her profile picture and click on the word follow. An easy way to find new people is to follow several people; before you know it they will return the favor and follow you.

You can also browse the people following those whom you are following. This is a great way to find more contacts and increase your friend base on Twitter. Additionally, when someone sends you an E-mail, you’ll get a notification straight to your personal or business E-mail inbox. This ensures that you are always up to date with any comments, questions, concerns, or replies that your followers are sending.

Though communicating with customers and establishing a large following is one of the greatest aspects of Twitter, those tools alone won’t necessarily drive traffic to your blog or website. The greatest advantage and benefit in using Twitter is the ability to post quick updates and include links back to your site. If you have added a new product to your site or company, you can post an update then create a link that will take followers directly to the site. You could create numerous promotional or marketing plans then post links to your events through Twitter, while effectively driving traffic to your site. With Twitter, the possibilities are virtually endless.

Business Building with Twitter

Business Building with Twitter

Every business, whether online or offline can benefit from using Twitter. No matter what the nature of your business is, what type of product you manufacture or sell, or whether you are in the service industry, every company and business needs advertising. This is how Twitter can benefit and builds every business; through free advertising and marketing. It doesn’t matter what your company or business is, every business and organization needs a marketing strategy, promotion, and to increase its customer base. Twitter not only does this, but it does so easily.

A comprehensive marketing strategy is one of the most important tools every business must utilize. With the technological advances provided today, every company has the ability to reach numerous customers worldwide. It doesn’t matter if you work online or offline every company needs customers. When determining your marketing plan it’s important to consider all mediums available. Online marketing provides many advantages including the low and inexpensive cost, the ability to reach people on a global scale, and the ability to advertise your business services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

One of the best benefits of building your business with Twitter is the fact that you can stay in touch with customers on a local or global scale. Your company might not be online, but if you have a mail order service, then your customer reach must be great. Likewise, if your business only serves those in the local community, staying in touch with your customer base through Twitter is an excellent option. It’s easy to add your twitter name to business cards and once you do, you’ll find that it doesn’t take long before your customers, friends, and even new ones begin following you. Regardless of the nature of your business you can add product updates, sales, coupons, special offers and marketing promotions all on Twitter.

Twitter is a micro blogging platform. This means that it is similar to a regular blog only smaller in size and function. When you communicate on Twitter you are giving short messages in a form similar to status updates. You can state anything from what you are doing at the moment, to new products your company is unveiling. Since it is micro blogging, you don’t need to worry about composing lengthy articles or newsletters to stay in touch with your customers or to promote your company.

Twitter is free to use and this is one of its greatest advantages as a marketing tool. It requires very little time to send out a “tweet” and you don’t need to lose valuable time that would be spent working to update your Twitter posts. Another factor to take into consideration is that you can tweet from a mobile phone or Black Berry. For those who might not have access to a computer 24/7 the ability to make calls from your mobile phone is a tremendous benefit. The ease and convenience of keeping in touch with your customers and the simplicity of attracting new ones through Twitter makes it an incredible business building tool that can be used by everyone, regardless of the nature of their business.

TO: God.Com
Dear Lord,

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm
And safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too..

Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.

Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits 'send'.

When you update your Heavenly list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer
Sent up to GOD.Com
Amen

Negative Thoughts

Negative Thoughts

Success is desired by so many people, yet, only a handful can make the claim that they are truly successful.

Success is viewed in so many aspects. One may want to be successful in the relationship they have with their spouse or children or even friends. But for the most of us, Success is something they link with finances. Whatever your idea of success is in your mind can be achieved through your mind.

When you focus on the negative that may be going on in your life, you are attracting more of that same negative thought to stay in your mind. Simply put: Whatever it is that you focus on, your mind will focus on it 10x more. Which explains why so many people, including myself in the past, just could not see the light at the end of the tunnel. And when you have multiple issues that are negative going on in your life, the stress is so overwhelming that all you can think about is all the negative...Which is compounded 10x.

If you are worried about how you will pay the electric bill, how you will get the gas money you need for you car, how you will buy your groceries and so on.... STOP! You have 3 issues right there that are negative and being compounded 10x for each thought..... You are filled with negative and that's all you are going to get.

I don't care what you have to do....But you need to find some positive.....Be happy with the house you have.... the car you have.....The friends you have....The family that you have.....Focus on the good that you do have and keep thinking about those things. This really is as easy as flicking a light switch.

When you focus on the good that is in your life, you create more good thoughts and desires that lead to reality. It really works, like the "Pay It Forward" or the "Ten Fold" scenario. And by concentrating on the good and more of the good that you want, you can create it.....If you think of a negative thought, you need to shift your thoughts into something positive....Immediately! You are then forcing your mind to focus on the thoughts that you want it to....And by doing so, you will create more of those same thoughts which just keep multiplying.

Catch Orchid Fever

Orchid Fever

From corsages pinned to prom dresses to exotic specimens in greenhouses, orchids are the most glamorous flowering plants in the world, but few know just how easy orchids are to grow and how affordable they’ve become.

“Believe me, orchids are easy to grow,” says orchid grower Steven Frowine in his book “Orchids for Dummies.”

“Phalaenopsis or ‘moth orchids’ are among the most popular plants in the world,” he says. “They’re the perfect choice for first-time orchid fanciers because they are so easy to grow, the colors are spectacular and the flowers last for months.”

Plus orchids are a great gift for today’s budget-conscious shoppers and they keep blooming for months with little to no effort. This spring, look for new phalaenopsis mini-orchids that are only 12 inches tall and come in decorative pots with gift tags for under $15.

These affordable mini-blooming machines make perfect “living gifts” for Mother's Day, birthdays, housewarming and teacher gifts, college students, and your boss and colleagues. In other words, give an orchid to someone -- even if it’s to yourself.

“What attracts most people to orchids are the exotic colors,” says Alex Calzadillia, orchid expert with Costa Farms. From sublime pear and lime yellows to passionate orangey reds and rich purples, orchids surprise with colors and patterns like individual snowflakes.

Orchids are a great way to spruce up your interior in delicious shades of red and yellow without breaking the budget on expensive redecorating.

But orchids are more than just a pretty face. They provide oxygen and are great natural air filters that clean indoor air of carbon dioxide and many indoor toxins. And since orchids do their “heavy breathing” at night, they are perfect bedroom buddies. Learn more about the fascinating world of indoor plants at www.O2foryou.org.

How to choose and care for your mini-orchids

Years ago, the methods of orchid growing were well-guarded secrets, hoarded by commercial growers and private estate gardeners, but now the secret is out. Calzadillia offers these tips to help you have success with orchids:

* Water your mini-orchids thoroughly by drenching them in a sink or watering container until the pot feels weighted. After a few days when the orchid becomes very light in weight, it’s time to re-water. Remember never to leave your orchid in standing water.

* Feed your orchids with a good high-nitrogen fertilizer weekly, but remember to dilute the fertilizer as instructed. This will help to bring blooms back the following year.

* Orchids enjoy indoor temperatures between 60 to 75 F during the day and above 55 F at night.

* Remember to place them in a well-lit area, but not in direct sunlight.

* Depending on the growth of the orchid, you may consider repotting every one to two years. When repotting, use a medium of large bark and/or moss-like mix, which you can purchase at your local garden center.

Available at your neighborhood retailer, these mini-orchids come in a wide variety of colors in both 3-inch and 6-inch pots with eight to 10 blooms on every plant.

Chocolate

Milk Chocolate -- a Sweet, Delicious Trend

(ARA) - No matter the occasion or season, love of chocolate is universal. America’s cocoa worship continues to grow and, despite a down economy, people are treating themselves to a small luxury with premium chocolates.

Though they may skip a trip to their favorite restaurant or bakery for dessert, chocolate enthusiasts continue to look for everyday indulgences in products with the finest ingredients. In fact, U.S. chocolate sales are expected to grow to nearly $18 billion by 2011.

Often times, those who prefer premium chocolate reach for darker varieties, and have taken up using only cacao percentages to measure what makes a “better” chocolate. The percentages refer to the total amount of cocoa beans in the bar by weight. Traditionally, a higher percentage provides a more intense and less sweet flavor. What they often forget, however, is that it’s not just cacao percentages, but also the overall quality that can make the difference between a good chocolate and a great one. Milk chocolate must be at least 10 percent chocolate liquor by weight, and the current trend favors formulations that contain more than that amount, which produces more chocolate flavor and less sweetness.

Despite the attention on dark varieties, milk chocolate is Americans’ true love, accounting for 80 percent of total chocolate sales, according to the market research firm ACNielsen. Milk chocolate fans have cause to rejoice -- more premium offerings are becoming available with launches of new products, including Ghirardelli LUXE milk chocolate.

With delectable all natural flavors including milk, hazelnut, almond, crisp and duet, the Ghirardelli LUXE milk chocolate collection offers satisfaction for every craving.

What should you look for in a high-quality chocolate?

* An attractive gloss -- The surface of chocolate should be tight and even-colored.

* A pleasing aroma -- Before even tasting it, rub the piece of chocolate with your thumb to warm and release its aroma. Milk chocolates often give off aromas of milk, cream, caramel or malt.

* The “snap” factor -- It’s the first clue to texture. Milk chocolate bars have a gentler snap than dark or semi-sweet chocolate because their milk and butter fat content make them naturally softer.

* Creamy feel in your mouth -- Premium chocolate should not be described as “gritty” or “waxy.”

* Flavor -- It’s the ultimate criterion for quality in chocolate. Every palate is different, but don’t forget that above all, your chocolate must taste delicious!

Chocolate and Champagne Diamonds on the Special Occasion Menu

Chocolate and Champagne Diamonds on the Special Occasion Menu

Chocolate and champagne diamonds are the hottest jewelry trend going and they make the perfect gift – whether it's an anniversary, birthday or special holiday – in any form.

“Many people don’t think beyond traditional diamonds and pearls when it comes to jewelry gifts,” says Natalie Parman, vice president of merchandising at Jewelry TV. “But the options are endless, especially since colored gemstones are increasingly popular. Champagne and chocolate diamonds are gorgeous, and come in everything from crisp, light colors to earthy dark browns.”

Chocolate diamonds are often more rare than colorless diamonds and look stunning in a cocktail ring setting or a pair of dangle earrings. Give your significant other a special surprise by nestling a white and dark chocolate ring inside a box of delicious gourmet chocolates. Or make her wrist sparkle with a deep brown chocolate diamond bracelet.

If your budget is limited, another chocolate gemstone is Zircon. Known for its brilliance and luster, Zircon is often compared to diamonds but is often a more affordable option. Smoky quartz is also a part of the trendy brown family. Its color ranges from brown to black to smoky gray and often comes in large sizes, making it a perfect gem for pendants and brooches. Dark brown gemstones are offset beautifully by a white gold or platinum setting.

Champagne diamonds are found in a range of colors from soft candlelight to warm cognac. Hollywood stars have been spotted on red carpets the world over sporting champagne diamonds.

Drape a necklace with a sparkling champagne diamond pendant over a bottle of good champagne for the ultimate gift. Champagne diamonds look particularly stunning with a rectangular, baguette cut to let the color shine through. Nothing captures the sparkle of candlelight or low evening lighting better than lightly colored champagne diamonds.

“Champagne and chocolate diamonds are hot, trendy and offer a new way to wear diamonds,” says Parman. “They’re warm, they stand out in a crowd and they look good with any skin tone. And who doesn’t like calorie-free chocolate and champagne?”
